Chief Technology Officer

We are recruiting a Chief Technology Officer who can provide the technical vision and leadership for the company and will work closely with senior management and the technology team to develop the technical infrastructure and the next generation architecture.

Reporting

The Chief Technology Officer will be part of the management team and report to the President and the Board of Directors.

Responsibilities

The Chief Technology Officer will be responsible for the following:

• Provide leadership for the software architecture,
• Help set product direction and anticipate future technology development and application.
• Work closely with the architects, product development and product management teams to create and manage a strategic technology roadmap.
• Develop and leverage partnerships and strategic alliances with various technology vendors.
• Clearly communicate the strengths of the company's technology and platform to prospective clients, partners and analysts.
• Effectively communicate with the marketing and sales personnel on changes in existing systems, products and services to position the business for competitive advantage.
• Develop an environment which stimulates innovation.
• Work closely with executive team on corporate strategy and direction.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will have five (5) or more years of systems implementation experience and a track record of technology leadership. A strong personal presence, leadership skills and the ability to translate business needs into system/product solutions is a must. The successful candidate must be able to contribute to the vision and strategy for a fast paced start-up operation. A proven track record of strategy development and product execution is critical.

He/she will have architecture and systems experience emphasizing scaleable web based applications development, previous management experience of overall architecture (hardware, network, and database), He will have a practical understanding of Internet development, including Java, JavaScript, XML and XSL and a knowledge of application server architecture and design.
